REV. WILLIAM P. YONKER serves as Senior Pastor for Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee, Ill. Reverend Yonker is a 1982 graduate of Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind. He holds a Masters of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (1986). Pastor Yonker has served in diverse ministry settings, including inner city ministry (Berea Lutheran Church, Detroit, Mich. and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Chicago, Ill.). He currently serves in a large suburban congregation with four pastors, multiple staff members, and a large school. He and his wife, Joanne, have been blessed with three children: Rebecca, Abigail, and Joshua. Pastor Yonker's passions in ministry and life involve, "connecting people to the Gospel and the Gospel to Jesus." Pastor Yonker shares that his personal mission statement is: "To draw all people I come in contact with to the person of Jesus Christ, and to assure them of His gifts, namely: the endless life in heaven and the abundance of life on earth." Pastor Yonker has a calling to, "witness and praise our Lord Jesus and by the power of the Spirit to lead people to hear, see, feel, and taste the Gospel while helping them hear how Jesus has come to give life and give it abundantly."
